About New ACCA Qualification
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is the largest and fastest-growing international accountancy body. The ACCA qualification will equip you with in-depth knowledge of accounting techniques and principles, information technology and management skills. The prestigious professional qualification equips you with skills to work in any area of accounting and finance.
 
The NEW ACCA qualifications, applicable from August 2007, have two levels:
 
  • The fundamental level
 
  • The professional level
 
The Fundamental Level The Professional Level
The Fundamental level is divided into two modules:
  • Knowledge Module
  • Skills Module
 
Knowledge Module :
  • F1 Accountant in Business
  • F2 Management Accounting
  • F3 Financial Accounting
 
Skills Module :
  • F4 Corporate and Business Law
  • F5 Performance Management
  • F6 Taxation
  • F7 Financial Reporting
  • F8 Audit and Assurance
  • F9 Financial Management
The Professional level is divided into two modules:
  • The Essentials Module: All students must complete the three papers.
  • The Options module: Contains four papers. Students need to select two.

  • P1 Professional Accountant
  • P2 Corporate Reporting
  • P3 Business Analysis
 
Options Module :
  • P4 Advanced Financial Management
  • P5 Advanced Performance Management
  • P6 Advanced Taxation
  • P7 Advanced Audit and Assurance
 
Practical Experience Requirement (PER) is a key component of the ACCA Qualification.
 
Ethics module: As part of their ethical development, students will be required to complete a Professional Ethics module, developed by ACCA.
 

The Entry Requirements:

  • The minimum entry requirements are two A levels and three GCSEs in five separate subjects, including English and Maths, or equivalent.
  • Individuals over 21 years who do not meet the minimum entry requirements may register through the Mature Student Entry Route (MSER).
Computer-based Examinations (CBE) are available throughout the year at ACCA licensed centres. The paper-based exams is offered in June and December over an eight-day period, with one session of exams each day.You can access details on ACCA qualification on www.accaglobal.com
